For the past few months Krishnan has been fraudulently withdrawing money from their accounts without their knowledge as if to help the elderly who are taking money to the ATM center. He also stole money from people who came to pay the bank and did not pay the money to the bank. Customers then complained to the SBI Bank Manager at Periyanaickenpalayam to take action.
He lodged a complaint with the Periyanaickenpalayam police. The police registered a case against Krishnan and arrested him. During the investigation it was found that he had swindled 2,28,031 rupees. Following this, Krishnan said that he would repay the money. Police then received 154 ATM cards from him and handed over Rs 1 lakh to customers. As he did not repay the remaining ₹2,28,036 the police arrested Krishnan today and produced him before an Investor Welfare Court judge and lodged him in the Coimbatore Central Jail.
