Coimbatore: Plus 1 student dies of unknown fever in Coimbatore. Murugesan is from the Machampalayam near Sundarapuram in Coimbatore. His son Solairaja (age 16) was studying Plus 1 in a private school in the area. He had been suffering from swollen throat due to viral infection for the last few days. His parents took him to a local hospital for treatment.
Solairaja, who was at home on the day of the incident, was found to have high fever. So he looked very tired and unconscious. His parents then took him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. Doctors who examined him there said he was already dead. Kuniamuthur police have registered a case and are investigating.
