Coimbatore: RSS state president RVS Marimuthu said the temple properties in Tamil Nadu are being stolen by politicians.

RSS on behalf of the Divine Tamil Sangam, a movement is being set up to meet the general public and campaign to identify and raise awareness among those in Tamil Nadu who are involved in various activities against Hinduism and inciting riots.

The campaign launch event was held in Pollachi today. In this, RSS state president RVS Marimuthu was present.



Speaking to the reporters, he said “millions of acres of temple-owned land in Tamil Nadu were being encroached. The location of the 50,000 acres of land are unknown. The temple idols are being stolen in Tamil Nadu and the government has no concern about this. There is restlessness in the society due to the intervention of politicians in spiritual events.”

He further added that “several lakh temples in Tamil Nadu are earning over 4000 crore rupees. It is unfortunate that in most temples there is no place to even light a lamp.” He accused that “the temple property is being stolen for the selfishness of politicians and accused that they are oppressing the Hindu community with the power of authority, even if there is a case pending in the court.”
