Surasamaharam was held without devotees at Marudhamalai Subramaniyaswamy Temple
Coimbatore: Devotees began their fast on Sundayduring the Kanda Sashti festival at the Subramaniaswamy Temple, the "Ezham Padai Veedu" in Coimbatore district.
On the sixth day Surasamharam took place todayat the Marudhamalai temple premises.
Special poojas were done for Subramania Swamy was placed in a Goat chariot and Veerabagu in a white horse chariot.
Devotees were not allowed to enter the temple by the temple administration. Thus the devotees from outside went back with disappointment not being able to do darshan. Devotees have been reaching the temple since morning but were turned away due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The temple administration has informed that no devotees are allowed to attend the Thirukalyanam to be held tomorrow and the devotees will be allowed to enter the temple after 10 am.
