Coimbatore: Widowed woman hanged herself as her Facebook friend denied to marry her. Bhuvaneswari (30) is from Pollachi Tholilpettai. Her husband Raman who was working as an engineer in Chennai died of an illness two years ago. Bhuvaneswari and her 13-year-old son lived alone in the Pollachi Tholilpettai area. It is alleged that Bhuvaneswari got acquainted with Gaja Moideen from Pollachi through Facebook and entered a live-in relationship with him.
It is said that Bhuvaneswari insisted on getting married but Gaja Moideen was reluctant. When Bhuvaneswari called him on the 16th, his mobile number seemed to be out of range and agitated by this Bhuvaneswari texted Gaja that she was going to commit suicide. On seeing this Gaja visited her house in Tholilpettai and found that Bhuvaneswari had committed suicide by hanging herself. The East zone police arrived at the scene, seized the body and sent it to the Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
