The employees of a private company on Gokulam Road near Ram Nagar in the 51st Ward of the Coimbatore Corporation violated the ban and littered on the road in front of the shop.

Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, who inspected the area yesterday morning, ordered the authorities to impose a fine on the private company that dumped the garbage on the road. Following this, a team led by Central Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan yesterdayfined the private company Rs 5,000 for littering on the road. Corporation officials have warned that stern action will be taken if garbage is dumped on the road again in violation of the ban.
