Coimbatore: Rs 11 lakh 61 thousand was collected as offering at the Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple near Pollachi, Coimbatore.
Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple is one of the temples under the control of the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department in Coimbatore district.
In this regard, the counting of temple offerings on 9 plate hundials for this month took place yesterday. More than 60 devotees took part in it. Krishnakumar, Assistant Commissioner, Echchanari Ganesha Temple, V. Anand, Assistant Commissioner, Masaniyamman Temple and Arun Prakash, Superintendent of Temples were present during the event.
The devotees had paid 11 lakh 61 thousand 750 rupees as offering in 9 plate hundials.

Only the plate offerings were counted as social distancing was observed due to corona infection guidelines. The temple administration said the offering from permanent hundials would be counted on another day.
