The Commissioner who visited and inspected the areas of Gandhipuram Crosscut Road and Ram Nagar under the Central Zone of Coimbatore today directed the vegetable traders at Gandhipuram Vegetable Market to not dump their waste on the roadsides and said water in the vegetable market should be kept clean, He said that only vegetable waste should be put in the bins and food waste should not be dumped.
Similarly, he inspected the roads and rainwater drainage in the areas of Crosscut Road and Ram Nagar and advised to remove the blockage in the drains immediately. He also advised the shopkeepers not to throw garbage on the roads.

He then visited the Valankulam rainwater drainage area and instructed the officers to take necessary steps to ensure that the canal is free from obstructions and stagnant water.
Central Zonal Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Kanagaraj, Executive Engineer Ravichandran, Assistant Chief Engineer Karuppusamy, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan, Health Inspectors, Supervisors and Corporation employees were present during the inspection.
