In the Mahalakshmi Nagar area under the Tirupur Corporation, public including women besieged the corporation office, demanding immediate supply of drinking water as there has been no supply of drinking water on behalf of the corporation administration for the past three months and the public has to pay for drinking water.
Following this, the public dispersed after the authorities assured that appropriate action would be taken on the petition.
