Kaliammal (73), wife of Nadarajan, of Kallukuzhi, Sundarapuram, Coimbatore, lives alone.
In this case, when Kaliammal was alone at home, a man of about 25 years came. When Kaliammal asked about the purpose of his visit, he replied, "Grandma I know you are alone. I will even kill you, if you do not give the jewelry you have to me.
Kaliammal lamented that she had nothing and lived without even a way to eat, but the young man barraged her since she did not listen to him. Kaliammal stumbled and fell down due to this.
Following this, when she shouted for help, neighbours came to her aid. Meanwhile, the young man took the 4-sovereign gold jewel that Kaliammal was wearing and another 4-sovereign jewellery that was in a wardrobe and fled. The police have registered a case and are searching for the young man.
