Coimbatore: The suicide of a professor who came to her husband's house in Coimbatore to celebrate Deepavali has caused great shock.
Anbarasan (age 32), a mill worker, hails from the Annur Milekal area of Coimbatore. He was married to Preethi (28) from Krishnagiri for the last 6 years. They have 2 daughters.
Preethi used to work as a professor in a college in Krishnagiri. She stayed with her mother in Krishnagiri with her two daughters and went for work from there.
Meanwhile, Preeti came home with her two daughters to her husband's house in Annur 15 days ago to celebrate Deepavali. Anbarasan celebrated Deepavali with his family after a long gap.
It is alleged that for the last 2 days there was a sudden dispute between the husband and wife and Preethi committed suicide by hanging herself at home.
Annur police were informed about this rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy.
Subsequently, the police have registered a case under Section 174 and are conducting an investigation. Also, the RDO investigation is ongoing as they have been married for 6 years.
