Mayilsamy is the chairman of the C. Malayandipattinam panchayat near Pollachi. Ravi, the vice-president of the panchayat and has 6 ward members. It is said that for the last 9 months, the Panchayat Vice President Ravi has not cooperated in the implementation of welfare schemes such as the provision of basic necessities and goats to the public, the 100 day employment scheme, road facilities, drinking water facilities, etc. causing various difficulties to the villagers.

The meeting was held today at the Panchayat Council office under the chairmanship of Mayilsamy.



Public engaged in a protest as Ravi refused to sign the resolution to implement welfare schemes for the public.



This led to an argument and the public accused the vice-president of obstructing the implementation of the plans. The public has demanded that the people's elected representatives cooperate in the implementation of public welfare programs. The public then abandoned the protest and dispersed after the negotiation with the police.
