Coimbatore: Over 46,000 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Coimbatore thus far.
The coronavirus infection has decreased in Coimbatore district and the number of people affected by coronavirus everyday is also declining. A total of 174 people from Coimbatore and suburbs tested positive yesterday.
As a result, the number of people affected by coronavirus infection in the district reached to 46,587. Currently the number of people recovering is higher than the number of people infected with the coronavirus.
A total of 187 people who were treated for coronavirus were discharged yesterday after being fully recovered. Thus the number of persons recovering from coronavirus in the district is 46,117.
A total of 883 people are being treated at Coimbatore Government Hospital, ESI, Private Hospital and Treatment Centers. Besides, a 76-year-old woman who was being treated at the Coimbatore ESI Hospital died yesterday. This brings the death toll due to coronavirus to 587 in the district.
