Coimbatore: Acting upon a tip-off, Sulur Police Inspector Rajkumar and team arrested two women migrant labourers from Kavundanputhur area and seized 2.6 kg of ganja from their possession.
Coimbatore: Acting upon a tip-off, Sulur Police Inspector Rajkumar and team arrested two women migrant labourers from Kavundanputhur area and seized 2.6 kg of ganja from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as Ruby Devi (34) and Bindu Devi (40), both natives from Bihar. Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo used to smuggle inferior quality ganja from Bihar and sell it among migrant labourers and students in the region.
The accused was booked under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and remanded in custody. the police arrested both of them. The Police have seized 1 kg 300 grams of ganja from them.
