As a precautionary measure, a special ward was set up at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treating people who sustain cracker-related accidents during the festivity.
According to reports, six persons including four children are treated at the special ward after they sustained burn injuries while bursting crackers.They are currently treated at the 20-bedded special ward allotted to treat burn injuries.
The doctors said that all the patients are doing well and are treated for minor burn injuries.
