COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 2,494 recoveries to 1,912 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Saturday recorded 1,912 fresh COVID-19 cases and 12 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,56,392 and toll to 11,466.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Saturday recorded 1,912 fresh COVID-19 cases and 12 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,56,392 and toll to 11,466.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 2,494 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,27,752 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 17,154.

Among districts, Chennai led with 509 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 182 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 70,425 today, totalling to 1,10,07,832 getting examined till date.
