Coimbatore: On the orders of Mettupalayam Police Inspector Chennakesavan, Sub-Inspector Tilak and cops were conducting a vehicle inspection on Mettupalayam Road.
At that time, it was revealed that a kilogram of ganja was stored in a motorcycle which was stopped on suspicion. Following this, the police arrested Ranjith (22) and Riyazuddin (25) from Mettupalayam. The motorcycle was also confiscated.
Also, Sub-Inspector Prabhakaran and police were engaged in a vehicle check at Mettupalayam Bhadrakaliamman Kovil Road, Uppu Pallam area. At that time, a vehicle that came that way was stopped on suspicion and checked. It was revealed that 500 grams of cannabis stored in the motorcycle was being smuggled for sale. Following interrogation, police arrested Sheikh Bashid (26).
All the three have been arrested for drug trafficking.
