A private charitable trust, on behalf of the Welfare Association of Persons with Disabilities provided the differently abled from Pollachi, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore, Anaimalai, and Kinathukadavu circles with items worth Rs 10 lakh such as grinders, two-wheeler repair products, tools for making phenyl, footwear, sewing machines, groceries, incense sticks, readymade clothes, weighing machines, etc in order to promote self-employment amongst them.
Pollachi Municipal Commissioner Gandhirajan, Cheshire Home Manager Rajarajan, its executives Veerakumar and Senthil, and differently-abled association officials Balasubramaniam, lawyer Imayavaramban Rajendran, Veeramuthu, Saravanan, Thirumurthy and Vellingiri were present.
