Coimbatore: Police arrested two college students for smuggling 2 kg of ganja on a motorcycle in Coimbatore, on Thursday. The ganja was confiscated from them.
Coimbatore: Police arrested two college students for smuggling 2 kg of ganja on a motorcycle in Coimbatore, on Thursday. The ganja was confiscated from them.
Police were engaged in vehicle inspection near Madukkarai- Marappalam in Coimbatore, this morning. At the time, two people were speeding on a KTM bike along the road. Suspecting something was wrong, police stopped them and inspected the bike.
The search revealed that the duo were smuggling ganja and two kg bag of cannabis was seized. The duo were arrested and during the interrogation, they were identified as Akhil (20) from Balakiparambu, Thrissur and Sharon (20) from Thekkumuri, Thrissur, both second year college students from Thrissur.
Following this the two wheeler used to snuggle the ganja was also confiscated.
