Especially on the new moon days, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and important festival days, the devotees from various parts of the State throng the temple to seek the blessings of Godess Maasaniamman.
On an usual day the temple opens by 6 AM and closes at 8 p.m. On the day of Deepavali, the temple would remain opened on the night before the new moon for devotees to worship throughout the night.
However, the temple administration has said that the temple will be closed at 8 pm on Saturday, the 14th, due to the COVID-19 situation.
Due to the fact that 14th is a festival day and massive crowd gatherings would flock the crowd, the temple administration has informed the devotees in advance about the closure of the temple on the night of Deepavali.
