Corporation Commissioner inspects the isolated areas in East zone
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner inspects the isolated areas in East zone. The Corporation of Coimbatore is taking various preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Following this, the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer visited and inspected the isolated areas on Kamaraj Road at the back of Bharati Nagar under Ward No. 57 of the East Zone today.

He said “the isolated areas should be disinfected regularly and those who are isolated should not leave the house until the end of the isolation period. Everyone must wear masks, followingsocial distancing. They should clean their houses with disinfectant in the morning and in the evening. The concerned officials should make necessary arrangements for the availability of vegetables, milk and groceries to those in the isolated area. The public in the area should cooperate if health workers were coming door-to-door to check for fever, colds and coughs.”
Following this, everyone was asked to get tested at a special medical camp in the area. He then told the public there and the roadside hotel owners to dump waste only in the garbage bins and to cooperate in keeping the premises clean.

He also inspected the sewers in the area and ordered to spray mosquito repellent on the sewers to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.

He then instructed the health officials to immediately remove any debris in the sewers and prevent water stagnation.
Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian, inspected the toilet facilities and drinking water facilities set up for passengers at the bus stand, which will be temporarily open for three days for buses plying on the Salem and Trichy routes for the Diwali festival at the CODISSIA premises.
East Zone Assistant Commissioner M. Murugan, Assistant Chief Engineer Prabhakaran, Zonal Health Officer Chandran, Health Inspector Rajendran and Supervisor of the Corporation were present during the inspection.
