SFI protests demanding justice for a student who committed suicide for being denied scholarship
Coimbatore: SFI protested today demanding justice for a student who committed suicide after being denied scholarship. Aishwarya, a student of LSR College in Andhra Pradesh, committed suicide after being denied scholarship. The incident caused a great stir across India.

The protest took place in front of the Periyar statue in Coimbatore's Gandhipuram area on behalf of the SFI. They demanded immediate justice for the student and immediate relief to the family of the deceased student.

Demonstrators chanted slogans saying that the government should not cheat students on their education.

They also raised slogans urging immediate payment of arrears of scholarships that was pending to students.
