The meeting focussed on the arrest of Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV and the repression of journalists in non-BJP states.

Prof. Kanagasabapathy, State Vice President of BJP, Praful Sejpal, National President of Naam Hindu Organization, Dr. Natarajan, Former Vice Chancellor of Gandhigram University and senior journalist Vidyasree Dharmaraj were present on the occasion and addressed the gathering.

Many attended the event and pledged their support to honest journalists.
