Public lay siege to zonal office in Tirupur in condemnation of the corporation for not providing basic amenities
Tirupur: Public in Tirupur besieged the zonal office and protested, condemning the corporation for not providing basic amenities.
Wards No. 1 to 15 of the First Zonal Office of Tirupur Corporation have not been provided with drinking water for more than 10 days and the roads are damaged, causing frequent accidents. Street lights are not working properly too.
The CPI(M) today besieged the zonal office and filed a petition condemning the failure to act even after a number of representations to the corporation and zonal administration on several occasions. The public dispersed after officials from the zonal office negotiated with them and assured immediate action.
