In this situation, more than 12 wild elephants have besieged the garden no.12 at the Thaimudi Tea Estate. Forest department personnel continue to chase the elephants away but they keep returning to the area. As a result, works such adding fertilizers and plucking of tea leaves have come to a complete halt in the area.
Meanwhile, workers have been offered jobs in alternative locations. Forest department personnel are camping there and actively monitoring the movement of wild elephants.
