Coimbatore: DMK that betrayed the Sri Lankan Tamils doesn't have the rights to seek votes: Minister SP Velumani.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman and was attended by Minister SP Velumani.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister SP Velumani said, “When the DMK was in power it did not solve any of the problems of Sri Lankan Tamils and Cauvery issue. DMK that betrayed the Sri Lankan Tamils does not have the rights to seek votes from the people of Tamil Nadu."
He added, "In the last parliamentary election, they won by making false promises such as waiver of agricultural loans and jewel loans, but today, during the Coronavirus outbreak, Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, who has been going to every district and is rendering his service to the public, has garnered the support of people from all walks of life. Therefore, he will win the coming 2021 assembly elections and become the Chief Minister again."
The meeting was attended by many including Coimbatore Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Krishnakumar.
