Transport workers across the state protested today demanding the withdrawal of the 10 percent bonus announced for them and give them 20% bonus instead.

As part of this, they besieged the TNSTC Central Office on the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam Road and staged a protest.

More than 200 protestors from various unions, including LPF, CITU and AITUC participated.

The protesters demanded that the Tamil Nadu government should negotiate with the union leaders and fulfill their demands.
