Consultative meetings with parents on reopening of schools held in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Consultative meetings with parents on the reopening of schools in Coimbatore began at Coimbatore schools this morning.
The Department of School Education announced that consultation meetings with parents of students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th standards would be held today on the subject of reopening of schools.
Accordingly, review meetings are being held today at government higher secondary and high schools in Coimbatore District. In this regard, Coimbatore District Chief Educational Officer P. Usha had sent a circular to the schools asking them to hold discussion and collect feedback from the parents. Accordingly, the school premises were cleaned, disinfected and kept ready for the parents.
Parents were allowed into the schools only after their personal details were recorded and body temperatures were checked with thermal scanners at the entrances. Only a maximum of 20 people were allowed to attend the meeting at the auditoriums where the consultation meetings are taking place. It has been reported that meetings will be held for parents and PTA administrators for one hour for each class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Principals are instructed to compile class-wise information and send it to the Chief Educational Officer before 6 p.m.
