Ration shop in Valparai damaged by wild elephants

Last night, 12 wild elephants broke the door, window and wall of the ration shop and damaged the goods there. Forest Department officials who rushed to the spot chased away the wild elephants and provided security in the residential areas.

The members of the public are in a state of panic as wild elephants continue to camp near residential areas. The forest department and plantation guards are monitoring the wild elephants along with the public.
