Coimbatore: Rotary Club of Coimbatore West hosted YUVA 2020 (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) from October 31 to November 8 for youngsters in the age group of 15 to 23 years in the digital platform with over 1000 registered participants from all over India and countries like Malaysia , Bangladesh, Singapore, and Brunei for exploring and developing qualities such as leadership, communication, cybersecurity, personal branding , music therapy, and emotional intelligence.

As part of this program, Rotary Club of Coimbatore West recognised Anamika, a young girl from Anaikatti who during this shutdown period due to Covid-19, had converted her small home into a smart school to educate the tribal children in Attapadi, a small tribal village near Aanakatti. Her story was published on SimpliCity few days back and Rotary Club of Coimbatore West got in touch with her to reward and award her. Born to parents, who are working in brick chambers, this vision of Anamika and her dedicated efforts are appreciable.
As part of YUVA 2020, Rotary Club of Coimbatore West conferred the award “Yuva Shakthi” on Anamica and presented her with a laptop, dongle and a complete audio system in order to honour and support her efforts in coaching tribal students.
