Children and adults have been admitted to government and private hospitals in Coimbatore for the past few days due to dengue. Due to this, dengue mosquito eradication activities have been geared up in Coimbatore.
In this regard, Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian said, "Dengue eradication activities have been intensified in Coimbatore to identify the areas most prone to the spread of dengue. 2500 people are involved in corona prevention work on behalf of the corporation and as many as 800 people are involved in dengue mosquito eradication,
Also, those involved in corona prevention work will not be involved in dengue eradication work. Measures such as dengue larvicide Abate in stagnant water on the roads and water stored in houses are being carried out in the morning and evening in the main areas.
The public should not be afraid of COVID and dengue. The Corporation administration is taking all necessary steps."
