There is a Ganesha temple on Vellaloor Road in Singanallur. Police led by Sub-Inspector Arjun Kumar were on patrol in Singanallur last night. A strange noise was heard from the temple at the time. Suspecting something fishy, they stopped the patrol vehicle and went near the temple. They saw 2 youths descending from the temple tower at the time.
Immediately, the cops gave them a chase but they escaped. It was revealed that the mysterious persons had tried to steal the temple kalasam and fled when they saw the police.
The police are on the lookout for the culprits involved in the incident. The incident created a stir in the area.
