District Collector Rajamani had ordered the demolition of damaged government and private buildings in Coimbatore district. Following this, work was in full swing to identify them throughout the district. In the study, 223 buildings were found to be damaged.

Accordingly, 223 buildings in Coimbatore district have been found to be damaged and 13 buildings have been demolished so far."
