COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 4,301 recoveries and 3,086 new cases

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu witnessed 3,086 fresh Covid-19 cases today. This brings the total tally up to 6,97,116, the state media bulletin confirmed.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu witnessed 3,086 fresh Covid-19 cases today. This brings the total tally up to 6,97,116, the state media bulletin confirmed.

The state managed to test a whopping 81,782 samples over the last 24 hours.

The death toll in the state touched 10,780, with 39 more deaths being reported, the State media bulletin confirmed.

Tamil Nadu’s capital has been the worst affected district in the state with 845 cases being reported today. The other districts to report more cases were Coimbatore (314) and Salem (198), and Thiruvallur (180).

As many as 4,301 people recovered from the infection today, and the total recoveries now stand at 6,50,856.
