Coimbatore: Man beaten to death near Coimbatore for making obscene calls to widow
Coimbatore: A man who made obscene calls to a widow was beaten to death by the woman's relatives. The murder has caused quite a stir.
Dhanalakshmi hails from the Karamadai Periyar Nagar area near Mettupalayam. She is living with her daughter after her husband passed away.
It is said that Dhanalakshmi received an obscene call from a person. He spoke to her obscenely and kept pestering her later with more calls. Also, it is said the caller asked Dhanalakshmi to have sex with him.
Dhanalakshmi then complained about the caller to her relatives. Under the circumstances, the person called yesterday and said he was coming to see Dhanalakshmi. Dhanalakshmi, who was waiting for an opportunity to teach the man a lesson, spoke nicely and brought him home.
Meanwhile, her mother and relatives, who were ready when the person entered the house, grabbed him, tied him to a tree and barraged him as a result of which he was killed. Following this, they threw his body on a railway track near the house. People in the area informed the police that the body of a man was lying on the tracks.
Later, police arrived at the scene and found that the man had been beaten to death and thrown on the tracks. It was revealed that the deceased was Periyasamy from Coimbatore, Rathinapuri and was living alone after divorcing his wife.
Karamadai police have registered a case and are investigating five persons in connection with the incident in which the man who made obscene calls to a widow was killed.
