Coimbatore: A review meeting on solid waste management in Coimbatore chaired by P. Jyothimani, a member of the National Green Tribunal, was held at the Coimbatore Corporation Head Office today.

The review meeting was conducted in the presence of the Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Special Private Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian.

The corporation will provide appropriate scientific assistance. Necessary action should be taken to reduce the amount of waste taken to the Vellalore landfill.
The waste collected at the Vellalore landfill should be properly sorted and stored in the open air. Garbage should not be piled up and should be kept clean and hygienic."
