Ravi, a resident of the Kavipaarai area near Gudalur city had a well in his house.
It was noticed that the inner wall of the well had broken and sunk in. While the upper part of the well remained intact, the lower part slid inwards and sunk in. It is said that incessant rains might have caused the soil to loosen causing the inner part of the well to slide.
Owing to this, the owner of the house has decided to close the well.
