It is to be noted that Coimbatore Corporation banned operating gold workshops until further notice.
Selvapuram police are currently investigating a case filed under three sections against the workshop owner based on a complaint lodged by Ravi, Assistant Commissioner of Southern Zone, Coimbatore.
It has been said that 2 labourers from the workshop have been in contact with the COVID positives from Anna Market. Of the hundreds tested, 34 from the workshop were found to be infected with coronavirus, health officials said.
