Ban Friends of Police or Friends of Public will be founded: DYFI petitions Coimbatore district collector
Coimbatore: The DYFI submitted a petition with the Coimbatore district collecting demanding the ban of Friends of Police, the failure of which, they said, will lead to them founding Friends of Public.

DYFI District Head and Secretary Kanakaraj and party functionaries filed the petition.
They said the Friends of Police members connected with the Sathankulam incident belong to Seva Bharathi which is one of the ancillary wings of RSS. They accused police are prone to religious and political allegiances because of which they enlist the help of such persons. They lambasted that this is against the secular policy of the nation
The DYFI also warned that if the "Friends of the Police" are not banned, an organization called Friends of People will be founded by them.
