The Government of Tamil Nadu announced a curb for public transport from July 1 to July 15. Accordingly, buses are not operated for public use.
In the meantime, 35 government buses are being operated at Coimbatore, Tirupur and Ooty areas of the Coimbatore Zone for government employees.
According to Transport Corporation officials, 27 buses are operated from Coimbatore to Pollachi and rural areas, from Gandhipuram central bus station to Mettupalayam, and from town bus stations to municipal and rural areas for the convenience of government employees.
Similarly, four for Ooty and four for Tirupur are being operated as well.
