Six fresh COVID cases in Tirupur today; overall count crosses 200
Tirupur: The overall COVID-19 positive tally soared to 206 in Tirupur district after 6 new cases were reported, on Sunday.
The details of the fresh cases are as follows:
1. A 50-year-old male Anupparpalayam.
2. A 43-year-old male from Prime Enclave, Velampalayam.
3. A 29-year-old male from Main Road, Nathakadaiyur.
4. A 32-year-old female from Rodamine Apparel Industries, Avinashi Road.
5. A 47-year-old female from Thathoonanee Nagar.
6. A 53-year-old male from Samalapuram, Palladam.
A total of 3,529 including 140 persons added today are under home quarantine.
A total of 202 samples have been taken today.
Meanwhile, the 75-year-old COVID positive male from Subramaniam Chettiar Street admitted at a private hospital in Coimbatore passed away this morning. With all of his contacts traced, samples for PCR tests have been taken.
