With the spread of COVID-19 increasing intensely day by day, various awareness measures are undertaken among the public regarding the prevention of the disease and curbing its contagiousness.
Under the orders of the Police Commissioner Sumit Sharan and the Deputy Commissioner Balaji Saravanan, various places have been divided sub-division wise and containment zone monitoring squads have been formed to undertake disease prevention and monitoring.
Awareness campaigns in the containment zones are being conducted by the special squad vehicles. Similarly watch towers have been set up on Chetty Veedhi in Selvapuram. Additionally, it has also been informed that drone cameras are also being used to assist with the monitoring activities.Also, cops use PA systems to address these issues to the public.
