Coimbatore: A 65-year-old man who sexually harassed a seven-year-old girl has been imprisoned by the Coimbatore East Mahila police station.
Coimbatore: A 65-year-old man who sexually harassed a seven-year-old girl has been imprisoned by the Coimbatore East Mahila police station.
The police said, "A couple from Damu Nagar who sell vegetables on the streets used to leave their seven-year-old daughter under the custody of one of their relatives. Varadharajan (65), the relative who was supposed to take care of the child had allegedly sexually harassed the little girl for the past one week. However, the child reported this to her parents who were shocked on becoming aware of this. They then filed a complaint at the Coimbatore East All Women's Police station based on which Varadharajan was booked under POCSO and imprisoned."
