Temple opening its doors for worship in violation of lockdown norms sealed in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A temple that opened its doors for worship at Ellaithottam Road in Peelamedu, Coimbatore was sealed by Corporation officials for violation of lockdown norms.
Siddhi Vinayagar Temple on Ellaithottam Road in Peelamedu, Coimbatore opened its doors today for public worship. It is to be noted that there is a COVID containment zone nearby.
When Coimbatore North Zone officials were in the area for inspection, they were shocked to see the open temple. After ensuring the exit of 6 persons who were participating in a puja at the temple, the premises were locked and sealed.
Later, the officials reiterated the importance of COVID awareness and norms to the residents of the area.
