Coimbatore: A man died after consuming alcohol laced with poison.
Muthuraj (50) from Kempatti colony in Coimbatore has been suffering from abdominal pain since 2015. He had been undergoing treatment for the same. Due to unbearable pain yesterday, he decided to end his life by consuming poison. He drank alcohol laced with poison and died.
Acting upon a complaint filed by his wife Maheshwari, the Big Bazaar Street police investigated the case. His body was retrieved and sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital for an autopsy.
