Nabisha (34) is a resident of Coimbatore Vellalore Housing Board. Her husband, Shahul Hameed, is said to be an alcoholic. This often led to fights between the two.

Under the circumstances, she again fought with her husband yesterday as he came home drunk. At the time, their landlord chided them and told them they should vacate the house. Allegedly, a furious Shahul Hameed, abused his wife. Frustrated by this, Nabisha hanged herself to death.

Based on a complaint lodged by Kathija, the Podanur police registered a case and investigated. The body of Nabisha was sent to the Government Hospital for autopsy.
