RS Puram multilevel car parking project work geared up
Coimbatore: Corporation officials said that the work related to RS Puram multilevel car parking project has been geared up and is expected to be completed soon.
Coimbatore A multilevel car parking facility on DB road at RS Puram is being built by the Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 42 crore.
Previously, it was planned to construct a four-level multilevel parking facility with space to park 1,990 two-wheelers and 979 four-wheelers at a cost of Rs 69.80 crore, bBut due to administrative reasons, the plan was changed. Following this, the management of the multilevel parking lot was decided to be handed over to the private sector for maintenance. The first phase of this multilevel car parking will involve the construction of four stories to accommodate 370 cars.
Accordingly, Corporation administration has geared up the first phase of the project on DB road. The construction that slowed down because of the lockdown has picked speed again.
The construction of the first storey is currently complete. According to corporation officials, "Ongoing multi level parking construction work is progressing rapidly. It will be completed soon and open for public use."
