Tirupur: Karthikeyan assumed charge as the new Police Commissioner for the Tirupur Metropolitan area today.
Tirupur: Karthikeyan assumed charge as the new Police Commissioner for the Tirupur Metropolitan area today.
Sanjay Kumar who was the previous Police Commissioner of the Tirupur Metropolitan area has now been transferred. The New Commissioner Karthikeyan was previously deputed as Coimbatore Range DIG. He has been promoted as an IG and has been deputed as Tirupur Police Commissioner. Prior to this Karthikeyan, has functioned as the DSP of Avinashi and the SP of Integrated Coimbatore District.
After taking office he spoke to the media and said, "The police will function primarily to stop the crimes that have increased in Tirupur district. Other than this, they work toward improving communal harmony."
