Coimbatore: The body of an elderly man who died after being infected with coronavirus in Coimbatore has been cremated by Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam. The impact of the global coronavirus pandemic is increasing day by day. Some of the positives die from the effects of viral infection.


Coimbatore: The body of an elderly man who died after being infected with coronavirus in Coimbatore has been cremated by Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam. The impact of the global coronavirus pandemic is increasing day by day. Some of the positives die from the effects of viral infection.

The mortal remains of such persons have been seen abandoned in some places due to fear of infection. Videos showing the bodies coronavirus victims being handled in a disrespectful manner have been doing the rounds too.

Under such circumstances, the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam sought permission from the government to bury the bodies of the victims of the coronavirus with due respect and were given a go-ahead following which they have handled the last rites of 184 victims throughout Tamil Nadu.

On those lines, the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam volunteered to bury the body of a 63-year-old man from Nilgiris who succumbed to the virus at ESI Hospital in Coimbatore yesterday.

This is their first service in Coimbatore and 185th across the state. This has garnered appreciation from all.

The Coimbatore administrators of the organisation, Ahmed Kabir, Mujihur Rahman, Sadiq Ali, Rafeeq, Abbas and Sahul, Razak, Ashik Ahmed, Ashik, Faisal, Saddam, Moideen, Rafeeq, Ibrahim, Tipu Sultan and many others were present at the burial.
