Wife stabbed by husband for not consenting divorce

Coimbatore: A man stabbed his wife who did not give consent for divorce. David and Kalyani, a couple live near Ukkadam. They have a son and a daughter. There is often dispute between the two due to family issues.


Coimbatore: A man stabbed his wife who did not give consent for divorce. David and Kalyani,a couple live near Ukkadam. They have a son and a daughter. There is often dispute between the two due to family issues.

David had been demanding his wife for a divorce due to some indifferences between them. Kalyani had not consented following which, David, who was angry at Kalyani, abused his wife around 8 pm last night near the GM Nagar mosque and stabbed her with a knife.

Kalyani, who was injured in the incident, is being treated at the government hospital. The Big Bazaar Road police are investigating the matter based on her complaint.
